Are You Top of Mind? ...where you need to be?

In continuation of last month’s article, let’s take Marketing 101 another step further. Last month’s article was about the two types of marketing, awareness and call to action. That seems simple enough. What’s not simple is the next step of marketing. There are hundreds of ways to market your business. Yes, hundreds. Over the past years, I have identified over 700 ways to market your business. To have a tool to help our clients create their marketing strategies, we have created a website called twelvebytwelvematrix.com.

ROI is Dead; ROAS is Alive

Marketing has been viewed as an expense in the books as opposed to an investment. Return On Investment (ROI) implies the thought of doing something in the hopes of it positively impacting the company’s revenue. When we talk about ROI, I don't believe that we can associate it with marketing. Most businesses typically look at marketing as an expense. It’s a “What have you done for me lately?” profession, not a “What have you done for me (the business) over the past ten years?” profession!

How To Use Images in Your Social Media Campaign

The most important aspect of a useful and engaging social media marketing campaign — one that actually talks to your potential paying customers — is fresh content. Content, of course, comes in many forms. Articles, links, videos, stories, images and photographs are all examples of content. A strong social media campaign consistently uses all of these pieces, rotating through them often and ensuring they are relevant to the business.

How to Find Customers on Twitter

If your business is serious about implementing a social media marketing plan, you probably have a Twitter account by now. And hopefully, you post on it from time to time. While you no doubt realize that posting items — links to stories, photos, videos, and other content — relevant to your business, will get you some followers, that alone is hardly the solution to finding throngs of appropriate prospects. Furthermore, you need the kind of followers who will one day become your customer, because otherwise, what’s the point?

How to Nurture Your Leads with an Email Campaign

Take a quick look at your In-Box and tell me automated email campaigns aren’t the new norm. While we often complain that we receive too much email, we actually signed up to receive most of it, and that’s because we’re at least somewhat interested in the content of those emails. The brands that are sending you those recurring emails are hoping that one day soon, something in one of those notes will spark your interest just enough to get you to buy from them. It takes many emails over a period of time to move you from passive prospect to loyal customer, but it eventually works.

How to Set Up Your Business Facebook Page and Keep Fans Engaged

Many small and medium businesses have realized the benefits of having an active Facebook Page. Administering a Facebook Page for your brand takes a little bit of time each day, as well as some creative thoughtfulness, but the investment of that time and energy can be well worth it in terms of bringing new clients and engaging the clients you already have.

So have you decided it’s time to create a Facebook Page for your brand? Here are five simple steps for making that happen quickly:

The Top Five Ways to Keep Your Company Blog Content Fresh and Interesting

Most small- and mid-sized business owners realize that adding dynamic, interesting content to their website will help them rank higher in internet search results, build a strong reputation for their brand, and set them apart as an expert in their field. When starting a blog, we all have the best intentions to write regularly, feed our blog posts to social media networks continuously, and keep the content fresh. But we all know too well that the daily grind of running a business fills our time, and our blogs lag embarrassingly behind.
